Classic American Muscle Car
This 1969 Hemi Charger R/T is one of 207 4 speeds produced, which includes Daytona models also. It is currently one of 8 registered in the Charger Registry. Just 432 Hemi Chargers were built in total for 1969- including Daytona and Charger 500 models in both auto and 4 speeds.
More importantly, this is a fully documented, 13,645 original mile, 100% numbers matching example in its original color of R6 Red with a black vinyl top and black interior. Also equipped with the factory light group, Track Pak with 3.54:1 Dana 60 Sure Grip rear axle, D21 Close Ratio 4 speed, tachometer with clock, Music Master radio, hood mounted turn signals, 3 speed windshield wipers, remote outside mirrors, and factory stripe delete.
Documentation includes owner history, factory Broadcast sheet, original Warranty Book and Owner's Manual, full maintenance records and a copy of Galen Govier's report from his personal inspection and validation of the car. Mr. Govier has certified that all numbers match including those on the original factory installed engine, transmission, rear axle, the hidden body id numbers , and the factory original fender tag.
Mechanically flawless with a freshly rebuilt drivetrain , this Hemi car runs and drives like new. The body is near flawless, with an older high quality repaint that is still outstanding. The interior with the exception of the carpet is completely original and in nearly flawless condition also.
This beautiful HEMI was featured on the cover of the January 1997 issue of Muscle Car Review Magazine, with a full feature story. It was also featured on the cover of the December 1995 Muscle Car Review magazine along with a four page article with color pictures. More recently, this car was featured in the best selling book entitled "Muscle: America's Legendary Performance Cars" written by Randy Leffingwell and Darwin Holmstrom, with photography by renowned automotive aphotographer David Newhardt. Most recently, just last week noted author John Gunnell spent a day photographing this very car for yet another magazine feature. Is there a '69 Hemi Charger that has seen more ink?
So how good is this Hemi Charger? Good enough for me to own it three times over the last 12 years! Most recently I just took it back on trade from the collector I sold it to in 2006. In a world of made-up, patched-up, misrepresented, restamped and bogus cars (imposters?) this 13k mile 4 speed Hemi car stands head and shoulders above 95% of them.
This is an ultra rare, super low mileage, fully documented and road ready Hemi car. You are not likely to find another one like this any time soon! Do not hesitate, Hemi Chargers are one of the most sought after of all the Mopar muscle cars.
